This page about the kitchen pantry will be updated quite frequently and should be a great resource for those of you who are transitioning to becoming vegan or raw-vegan. At first, it is a little expensive because if your eating the omnivore diet like most Americans you probably do not cook much or use as many spices and herbs as us plant-based folks. So my goal for this section is to help you build your kitchen pantry up with spices, herbs, oils, and essential equipment in the most economical way possible.
First, please prepare room in your kitchen for spices. If you look on Pintrest you can get a lot of ideas for different types of spice racks in order to maximize space. I live in a smaller urban apartment in downtown Miami, so needless to say, I lack space in my pantry and once you start making vegan recipes you quickly learn that you need a lot of space for spices. I searched on Amazon and found this amazingly cheap solution for the grand totally of $6.87 you can own the Home-It Spice Rack Storage/organizer Wall Rack with 12 Cabinet Door Spice Clips. I quickly pasted these to the inside of my cabinets and use them to hang my smaller plastic spice bottles and it has been life changing.
The kit comes with small screws if you want to more permanently adhere them to your cabinets (then you could hang glass bottles). I however cannot because I am renting my urban oasis and would probably get charged an arm and a leg at the time of move-out. Here are some of my truly gorgeous kitchen pantry photos below and the picture depicted on Amazon.
